What is a Scotts Steering Stabilizer?
It is a compact, fully adjustable, hydraulic shock absorbing damper, that mounts to your steering head area right above your handlebar mount. It helps control the natural tendency of the “left to right” front end movements known as “head shake” on a motorcycle. By helping to stabilize the front end of your motorcycle, the rear of the motorcycle will track straighter allowing the rest of your suspension to work the way it was designed to. The result in stabilizing the front end means more precise steering also.
Eliminates "Thrust-Effect"
It eliminates that sudden "thrust-effect” of having the handlebars pulled from your hands after unknowingly hitting something unforeseen like rocks, tree roots, rain ruts and potholes.
Minimizes "Arm-Pump"
It also helps to minimize rider fatigue and the dreaded “arm-pump” situation that occurs while wrestling the front end of your bike, especially in rougher terrain.
Reduces "Head-Shake"
Once mounted, it dramatically reduces the unwanted phenomenon known as "Head-shake" that is commonly found on ALL off-road production motorcycles.
This is more predominant now a-days due to the steeper head angles you find on production bikes. It helps keep your motorcycle going straight in the whoops, reduces head shake approaching turns, and smoothes out those rough sections by preventing those handlebar wrenching jolts.

How to Determine Your Bar Clamp
[A] —The distance in “mm” from the center of the left bolt hole to the center of the right bolt hole that hold your handlebars tight.
[B] — The distance in “mm” from the center of the front bolt hole to the center of the rear bolt hole that hold your handlebars tight.
[C] — The distance in “mm” from the center line of the front bolt holes to the center of the steering tube. Be accurate! On some models the lower handlebar perches can be rotated 180° which would change dimension “C”. Be sure your lower perches are in
the position you are going to use them in, before you measure. If you are not sure which position you want, send measurements from both “C” positions, as WE may only have one choice available.
[D] — After removing the lower handlebar perches from the upper triple clamp, measure the distance from the center of the lower perch mounting hole to the center of the steering tube hole. D is not mandatory but very helpful in making sure.
